Day 01 :- Delhi / Chandigarh (243kms and 5 hours drive):
Meet with our driver at your hotel then departure for Chandigarh. Settling in Chandigarh, a modern city built by the famous 20th century French architect Le Corbusier. Departure for a visit to the Rock Garden, a garden built from broken objects. Then walk around Sukhana Lake. Evening discovery of the city of Chandigarh.

Day 02 :- Chandigarh / Amritsar (225km and 4h30 drive):

Morning visit to the Open Hand monument, designed by Le Corbusier. Installation at hotel. In the afternoon, departure to visit the closing ceremony at the Indo-Pakistani border. In the evening, return to the hotel.

Day 03 :- Amritsar / Delhi (by plane):

Morning departure to visit the Golden Temple of Amritsar, The legendary temple is in fact a small part of this immense complex that is the Gurdwara Karamsar, Rara Sahib , known to Sikhs as Harmandir Sahib (or Darbar Sahib). Finally, don’t miss the refectory specific to all Sikh temples (or langar). At meal times, devotees sit on the ground in rows, and volunteers serve them dal and chapati. This common meal symbolizes the unity of the community and the theoretical absence of the notion of caste. Visit the Jaliyanwala Bagh also called the gardens of the martyrs. Then free day to explore the city of Amritsar. In the evening, transfer to Amritsar airport to catch your flight to Delhi. On arrival, welcome by our local representative then transfer to the hotel. Free evening.

Day 04 :- Delhi / Jaisalmer (by plane):

In the morning transfer to Delhi airport to take your flight to Jaisalmer. You will fly at 8:45 a.m. – 10:05 a.m. (with Spice Jet flight) to the famous golden city, Jaisalmer. Welcome on arrival by your driver at Jaisalmer airport then installation. A first walk to discover this thousand and one night city lost in the Thar desert. In the afternoon, visit Gadisar Lake, an old reservoir, which once provided the city’s water supply until the 1950s. Departure for a visit to the Thar Heritage Musuem museum. At the end of the day, visit the Bada Bagh (royal cenotaphs) at sunset. Bada Bagh, 6 km from Jaisalmer, includes cenotaphs of the maharajas of Jaisalmer. Under each dome supported by pillars, there is a marble stele. On the crest of the Bada Bagh hillock, the cenotaphs do not have domes but pointed roofs. They are the oldest. Below, an oasis recalls the time of the vegetable garden of Jaisalmer (bada bagh means “large garden”). Evening stroll to discover the citadel of Jaisalmer.

 

Day 05 :- Jaisalmer:

Visit the Golden Fort (Sonar Kila) also called, the Carcassonne of India erected in 1156 by the Rajput ruler Jaisal, visit Patwa-ki-Haveli, Salim Singh-ki-Haveli, Nathmal- ki-Haveli and the Jain temple of the citadel. At the end of the morning visit Gadisar Lake, an old reservoir, it once provided the city’s water supply until the 1950s. In the afternoon departure for the camel ride in the Thar desert (Khuri village 40 km from the city). Evening hosted by the gypsies of Rajasthan with traditional dances and music and dinner on site. Return to Jaisalmer for the night.

Day 06 :-Jaisalmer / Jodhpur ():

Visit to the Mehrangarh Fortress, nicknamed the “magnificent fort”, overlooking the city from a height of 122 meters. Inside it is a richly decorated palace. Also visit the Jaswant Thada memorial dedicated to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II built in 1899. This monument is entirely constructed of finely carved and polished white marble. In the evening, discovery of “the blue city” and its spice merchants.

Day 07 :- Jodhpur / Ranakpur / Udaipur (158 km and 4 hours drive):

Departure for Udaipur. On the way to the Jain temple of ChaumukhaMandir in Ranakpur which is one of the five major pilgrimages of Jainism. Dating from the 15th century, the construction forms a set of 29 white marble rooms, every centimeter of which is meticulously carved and ornamented. The temple is also called “Temple of Four Faces” because the cella houses a Tîrthankara (sculpture of Jain masters who have been deified) with four faces looking towards the four cardinal points. The building is believed to have a total of 1444 pillars all carved with different ornamentation. On the way visit a farm and noria, an irrigation system in this part of Rajasthan. In the afternoon, visit the Saheliyon Ki Bari garden, the garden of the young ladies. In the evening, traditional dance and puppet show from Rajasthan at Bagoreki Haveli.

Day 08 :- Udaipur:

Udaipur, also called “The Venice of the East”, is the most romantic setting in Rajasthan thanks to its numerous lakes and magnificent palaces. Then at the end of the morning departure to visit the City Palace (complex of several palaces built in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh as the main palace of the Sisodia Rajput dynasty), and the Hindu temple Jagdish Temple. At the end of the morning, departure to discover rural life through a hike around Udaipur. Late afternoon boat trip on Lake Pichola

Day 09 :- Udaipur/ Jaipur ():

Departure for Jaipur. Settling in Jaipur. Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan founded by the astronomer king Jai Singh II between 1688 and 1743. Visit to the Palace of the Winds (Hawa Mahal). Visit the bazaars of the “pink city”. In the evening, explore the old town, also nicknamed the “pink city”, and visit the Laxminarayan temple. You will cook for a local cooking class. Friendly family dinner where you will taste the different dishes prepared.

Day 10 :- Jaipur:

Departure for a visit to Amber Fort. Climb to the fort on foot then visit this fortified palace which was the citadel of the Kachhwaha dynasty until 1727, when the capital was transferred to Jaipur. Successive rulers continued to visit there on special occasions, seeking the blessings of the family goddess, ShilaDevi. The citadel was founded under the orders of Man Singh I in 1592, on the ruins of an old 11th century fort, but it is the various buildings added by Jai Singh I which form the magnificent central body. In the afternoon, visit the Astronomical Observatory (JantarMantar) and the City Palace (the palace of the king of Jaipur). Then free time to stroll in the pink city of Jaipur.

Day 11 :- Jaipur / Ranthambore (164 km and 4 hours drive):

In the morning departure for Ranthambore. The Ranthambore reserve covers 1,334 km2, including 400 km² open to safari. At the time, the Ranthambore site was the royal hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur and was home to only around ten tigers. Today it is the natural park best known worldwide for its tiger reserve. In a landscape of lakes and cliffs, the park’s tigers sometimes roam in the ruins of ancient Indo-Mughal hunting lodges or hide in the jungle of the hills. Installation in Ranthambore. In the afternoon, a shared jeep safari in the Ranthambore reserve. Free evening at your hotel.

Day 12 :-Ranthambore/Keoladeo / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra (245 km and 5 hours drive):
In the morning departure for Agra. On the way, bicycle rickshaw safari to discover the Keoladeo reserve, famous for its migratory birds, then visit the fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri. It was the imperial capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1584. Built by Emperor Akbar, perfectly preserved since its abandonment, it is a remarkable testimony to Indo-Islamic architecture of the 16th century. Installation in Agra. At the end of the afternoon, free visit to the Agra markets.

Day 13 :- Agra / Sikendra / Delhi (241km and 4 hours drive):

Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal, Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. Built at the request of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in homage to his beloved, its construction mobilized more than 20,000 workers and craftsmen from all over the world. Return to the hotel for breakfast. At the end of the morning visit the Agra Fort, one of the most beautiful Mughal style forts built in 1565 by Akbar and enlarged by his grandson Shah Jahan. Then departure for Delhi. Settling in Delhi. Late afternoon, visit India Gate (from the outside), memorial to Indian soldiers who died during the First World War in the Indo-British army and the Anglo-Afghan wars.

Day 14 :- Delhi:

 Transfer to the international airport to catch your return flight.

By paying by Premier / Gold bank card, you benefit from cancellation insurance with your card.

Payments are made in France via our bank Crédit Mutuel. No additional payment fees or administrative fees will be requested for all travelers living in a country in the Euro zone (France, Belgium, etc.). For nationals outside the Euro zone (Switzerland, Quebec, etc.), you will be charged an additional amount of 2% of the price of the stay if you pay by credit card. Payments are made in €.

Once the travel bulletin is signed, we begin hotel reservations. Subsequently, we will send you a confirmation form of the Hotels reserved with the contact details of the French-speaking director of our agency in India.

When you arrive, you will be greeted with a sign with your name just at the exit of the airport terminal (outside).

Our representative will be in possession of your travel log upon your arrival (exchange voucher for hotels, domestic flights, trains, etc.).

Price and validity period of the quote: All our quotes have a validity date of 15 days. Beyond this date the price of the stay may be revised upwards or downwards depending on the monetary parities between the Rupee and the Euro. Once the registration form has been signed, even in the event of currency variations, we will not charge any additional fees.

Insurance: Multi-risk insurance: If you wish to take out multi-risk insurance through us, we offer multi-risk/cancellation insurance which represents 3.8% of the cost of the trip through Europ’Assistance.

Assistance/repatriation insurance: As a general rule, travelers have assistance/repatriation insurance with their civil liability, the same applies when you pay by credit card. This should be checked before your trip begins.

We also offer this assistance/repatriation insurance which represents 1.8% of the total cost of the trip through Europ’Assistance.

Purchasing international flights: We are flexible for international flights. You can buy the flight yourself and we can also offer you international flights.

If you wish to book with us, payment for the international flight will be requested at the time of booking (tickets cannot be canceled or refunded except in business class according to airline conditions).

The time of your arrival in India maybe at any time, our representatives will always be there to welcome you.

Booking your services:

Hotels: We always endeavor to reserve the hotels mentioned in the program. We send the confirmation form between 1 ½ and 2 months before departure. In the event that certain hotels are full, we will replace them with a hotel of the same category, always informing you in advance.

Please note that some hotels may not offer a wifi connection. It may also happen that there is no hot water. If in your tour, you stay one night with a local, we would like to point out that the comfort is less than that of a hotel. The homestays are clean but simple.

Trains: Train ticket sales in India open 4 months before the travel date. We reserve seats in Second or Third Class depending on availability.

Domestic flights and baggage weight: Companies

 

flying within the country are very reliable. In India for domestic flights, the weight of baggage is limited to 15 kilos in the hold and 7 kilos of hand luggage. It is possible to have more weight, in this case a supplement will be asked at the time of check-in (approximately 3.6€/kilos).

Drivers: There are no French-speaking drivers in India. The drivers who accompany you know the region they will show you very well. They speak English however their vocabulary is sometimes limited. They hold a state-certified license to drive a passenger vehicle.

French-speaking guides: If you would like a French-speaking guide during your stay, we can offer you a state-certified guide for support throughout your trip.

Visa for India: It is compulsory to travel to India.

Two options are available to you :

1) Apply for an E-Tourist Visa online to obtain your Visa on arrival:

This Visa is possible for stays of less than 30 days in India to enter and exit the country a maximum of two times. We can produce your E-Visa (55 €/E-Visa). 2) Apply for your Visa in advance:

We can prepare your Visa in advance (145€/traveler). On request we will send you a complete explanation. This formula is much more expensive and does not present any particular advantage except for stays of more than 2 months.

To travel to India, it is necessary to have a passport valid for more than 6 months and 20 days after your return and provide two 5cm*5cm photos (the photo must be taken by a photographer to ensure compliance with the requested format).
