Discovery Tour Bombay & South India

Day 02 :- Mumbai

Departure for the visit of Dhobhi Ghat (the common laundry), Mahalaksmi temple. Then visit the Prince of Wales museum and the Victoria Terminus. Departure by boat from Gateway of India for Elephant Island to visit the Elephanta caves. Free evening.

Day 03 :- Mumbai / Chennai / (by flight) Kanchipuram / Mahäbalipuram:

In the morning transfer to Mumbai airport to take the flight to Chennai. Welcome by our representative and drive to Mahäbalipuram. On the way, visit the temples of Kanchipuram. Installation in Mahabalipuram. Visit the five “rathas” chariots of Pandavas, the heroes of the epic Maha Bhârat” and Visit the Arjuna’a Penance. In the evening, stroll to Mahäbalipuram beach.

Day 04 :- Mahäbalipuram / Pondicherry:

Visit the shore temple then departure for Pondicherry. Installation in Pondicherry. In the afternoon visit Auro city. In the evening, visit the Indian and French quarters.

Day 05 :- Pondicherry

Visit the Vinayaga temple and lunch in town. In the afternoon, visit the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Nôtre-Dame-des-Anges church. In the evening, visit the city’s Indian markets.

Day 06 :- Pondicherry / Gangaikondacholapuram / Darasuram / Tanjore:

Departure for Tanjore. On the way, visit the temples of, Gangaikondacholapuram and Darasuram. Installation in Tanjore. Visit to the Maratha Palace. In the evening, discovery of the city of Tanjore.

Day 08 :- Tanjore / Madurai:

Departure for Madurai. Settling in Madurai. Visit the Tirumalai Nayak Palace and the Meenakshi Temple.

Day 09 :- Madurai / Munnar:

Departure for Munnar. Settling in Munnar. Departure for a visit to the Tata Tea Museum, tea museum, and the magnificent tea plantations. (Tea Museum is closed on Mondays)

Day 10 :- Munnar

Departure for a hike to discover the tea and spice plantations up to the Pothamedu viewpoint and the Atthukad Falls. In the evening, Ayurvedic massage at the hotel.

Day 11 :- Munnar / Alleppey:

Departure for Alleppey. Installation in the houseboat and discovery of the backwaters of Kerala: navigation on the canals and visit of the surrounding villages.

Day 12 :-Alleppey / Cochin:

Disembarkation at Alleppey and departure for Cochin. Installation in Cochin. In the afternoon, visit the Dutch palace. In the evening, Kathakali dance show, then discovery of the Fort Kochi district.

Day 14 :- Cochin

Transfer to the international airport to take the flight back to France.

Day on Mararikulam beach. In the evening, transfer to the hotel near Cochin International Airport.

Day 16 :- Return

Transfer to the airport for the return flight .
