Discovery of Orissa and Chhattisgarh

Day 02 :- Delhi / Bhubaneshwar (by plane):

Transfer to Delhi airport to take your flight to Bhubaneshwar (Air India flight departing from Delhi at 10:55 a.m. and arriving at 1:10 p.m., 2h15 flight). Arrival at Bhubneshwar airport, Welcome at the airport by our local representative and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, departure for a visit to the Orissa tribal art museum to understand the different forms of art practiced by the tribes of Orissa. Free evening to stroll through the Bhubneshwara market.

Day 03 :- Bhubaneshwar:

Visit to Bhubaneshwar and its temples. Visit the Lingaraja temple, VaitalMandir, RajaraniMandir and ParsurameshwaraMandir. Free evening at your hotel.

Day 04 :- Bhubaneshwar / Udaygiri / Dhaulagiri / Dhenkenal (103kms and 4 hours drive):

Departure to visit the Buddhist troglodyte temples of Udaygiri, Khandagiri, and Dhaulagiri. After the visit, drive to Dhenkenal. Settling at Dhenkenal. Free evening.

Day 05 :- Dhenkenal:

Departure for the visit of Nuapatna Textile Village, Sadeibarani, Dhaokhra Handicraft Market, and visit of Mahima dham monastery.

Day 06 :- Dhenkenal / Konark / Puri:

Departure for Konark, a small town located on the edge of the Bay of Bengal. Visit to the Konark Sun temple, one of the architectural wonders of India. Continuation of the road towards Puri. Installation in Puri. Free evening.

Day 08 :- Puri / Gopalpur on Sea (174kms and 4 hours drive):

Departure for Gopalpur. Along the way, a boat trip on Lake Chillka to discover dolphins. Installation in Gopalpur. Then free day at the beach.

Day 09 :- Gopalpur on Sea / Chandangiri / Tattapani – Gopalpur (excursion):

Departure to visit Chandangiri and Tattapani Falls and return to Gopalpur.

Day 10 :- Gopalpur on Sea / Rayagada (254kms and 5h30 drive):

Departure for Rayagada. Road to Rayagada, passing through tribal villages of Orissa. Installation in Rayagada. Free evening.

Day 11 :- Rayagada – Kothagra – Rayagada:

Visit Kothagara Village for its local market and tribes with their tattooed faces. Return to Rayagada in the evening.

Day 12 :-Rayagada / Jeypore (134kms and 4 hours drive):

In the morning, drive to the village of Chatikona, to visit the DongriaKondh tribe village. After visiting the village and its local market where tribes of Doms, Desias, DongoriaKondhas meet every Wednesday to trade along the road. In the evening, check into the Jeypore hotel.

Day 14 :- Jeypore / Koraput Market / Jagdalpur: (209kms and 5h30 drive):

Departure for Jagdalpur. On the way visit the markets of the village of Koraput, one of the largest markets in the region. Installation in Jagdalpur and free evening.

Day 15 :- Jagdalpur

Visit Kankare National Park, Tirathgarh Falls, and the Baisang Muria tribes. Return to the hotel.

Day 16 :- Jagdalpur / Kanker (192kms and 4h30):

Departure for Kanker, on the way visit Dokra bell village, Shilp Gram, and Kiediechapra village and Baster temple. Installation in Kanker and free evening.

Day 17 :- Kanker:

Visit to the tribal villages of Muriya and Mome. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 18 :- Kanker / Kwardha (223kms and 5h30 drive):

Departure for Kwardha, on the way visiting the tribal villages of Orissa. Installation at Kwardha Palace and free evening.

Day 21 :- Kwardah / Raipur/Delhi (Flight) :

Departure for Raipur and transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. On arrival, welcome by our local representative then transfer to the hotel. Free evening at your hotel.

Day 21 :- Delhi:

Transfer to Delhi international airport to catch your flight back to France.
